Watch “Biffin and Turner” on YouTube

I can relate to these two brothers. My heart resonates with them. I feel the same about my brother Stephen. I am so Blessed and Thankful to have a brother like Stephen.  Yes we wrestled as kids!

Like Griffin and Turner we laughed as children and we are still laughing as middle-aged adults.  Stephen still loves to be near me and will come downstairs because he knows I’m camped out on the sofa while he has the bedroom. During times of stress Stephen will put his head on my shoulder. Ours is a bond that will last forever and I expect beyond this world and into the next. I see that same bond reflected with Griffin and Turner.

The van from Stephen’s Group Home Residence picked him up around 5:35. Sadness for me because the separation is so difficult to bear.  Time is precious and as you get older you know that your time on this earth is getting shorter.  So aging brings new priorities.

My hope and prayer is that Griffin and Turner will have many happy years together.

Griffin aka Biffin and Turner,

Stephen attended both my High School and College Graduations. It meant everything to me for him to be there and share in my special moments.

The Finished Photo Collage. 90% Stephen and 10% Sister DeBorah!! Hooray for Stephen!!

Given the opportunity people with Autism can express their Creativity in unique ways. Some like Stephen’s friends and fellow consumers in the AABR Choir have magnificent voices the bring happiness and joy to those who hear them sing.

Stephen enjoys Art and even though the Art program at AABR has been eliminated due to budget cuts I will continue to bring art into Stephen’s life by taking him to various New York City Museums (Our Favorite is the Brooklyn Museum) and purchasing art supplies for him so we can do our artist thing when Stephen comes to visit me.

Share Your World – August 7, 2017

Good morning everyone.  I thought I would switch things up a bit on Share Your World.  I will still be asking four questions, but the fourth question will be the same each week.  The last question will be about anything that inspires you.

What was the last URL that you bookmarked or saved?

An Annual Compendium of Black Photography that Was a Revolutionary Act

In 1973, a small band of black artists published the Black Photographers Annual, Volume I, a book that changed the history of photography in America.

Do you believe in the afterlife?  Reincarnation?

Yes. Whether it is Heaven or Reincarnation I don’t know. As my Aunt Gladys told me once, Nobody has come back from the dead to tell us!  And I mean dead for several days! As a Christian I believe in Heaven. I want to see my family again. I want to be reunited with my Loved Ones who have Gone onto Glory.  I would not want to be reincarnated because who in their right mind wants to return to this horrible world called Earth!

If you were or are a writer do you prefer writing short stories, poems or novels?

Poems. My specialty is Poetry. I have dabbled in short stories but I suck at character development, story lines, etc… It’s best I stick with Poetry.

What inspired you this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

My brother Stephen Palmer. I am on vacation so we spent time together this past weekend. Friday we rocked out to the music of the late great Robert Palmer. He goes back to his Group Home Residence today.  Here is a video of a walk we took through Mt. Prospect Park yesterday Sunday. Stephen was enjoying some chocolate flavored popcorn thus the popcorn lips.

If a movie was made based on your life, what actor/actress would play you?

Jada Pinkett Smith. She is a petite Black Woman like me. Eartha Kitt if she was still living. Love her Cat Vibes.  Also both women are Fierce and Feisty like me.

If you could be famous for one thing, what would it be?

Controversy.  Stirring up mix. Outspoken with No filters. Blunt. Straight. No Chaser. No wait, I’m already famous for that.  Guess I met the requirement.

I am the 21st Century version of the Warrior Goddess Judge DeBorah whose story is in the Bible book of Judges Chapters Four and Five.

Warning Controversy Ahead

Most of you who have been following me for some time know that I discuss race relations on my blog. I know this is a sensitive topic and for some strange reason white Americans love to pick fights with me. Fights that they will not win nor will they change my beliefs.  This is my truth and I’m not afraid to express it.  I do not attempt nor have I ever attempted to curry favor with white people.

This week I will be posting blogs on the subject of race relations in America. Of course I’m sure to offend many people. I don’t care.

From the time I was bused against my will to a white school, put next to a red headed white boy whose greeting to me was Nigger I was raised to stand up for myself.  The Talk. The one that Black parents give to their children is more than just how to handle yourself around the police it is how to deal with white folks in general.

Yes I am an extremely blunt, to the point, direct outspoken Black Woman. The kind most white people hate.  So this is your chance to UnSubscribe or UnFollow Now.  Numbers mean nothing to me. I don’t care how many Subscribers or Followers I have or Don’t Have as the case may be.  I’m not here to win popularity contests.

I see so many claims of supposed Light Workers. If you are a true Light Worker you bring the truth along with the Sword. You acknowledge the Darkness and not just Gloss over it with meaningless platitudes and affirmations. Then there are those fake Bible Belt Christians. The ones that voted for the asshole who now illegally occupies the Oval Office. When innocent Black Americans are shot, murdered and tortured they immediately pull their paleface Jesus out of a hat and start telling Blacks that we should forgive and allow ourselves to be Targets. Now they don’t have to modify their behavior or do anything that would upset the status quo and make accountable a system that has a set of rules and regulations for Black & Brown races and unlimited privileges for their race.  Crock of shit.  Wounds don’t heal unless you expose them to the light and air of truth.

I Close Comments not because I’m afraid of a fight or a battle because as a Black American every day is a battle for me but I refuse to answer or respond to the stupid idiotic insults and meaningless arguments from not only white racists but especially white Liberals.  Liberals who cloak their supposed support in carefully couched language but who in their frenzy to prove their biased tales expose themselves to the light of truth then crash and burn.

Like watching and selecting TV shows on the Boob Tube whatever you don’t like or don’t want to read, My advice to you.

Change the Fucking Channel because Shit is About to Get Real!
