Now time for still more WTF New York moments. Guy on the street corner selling adult diapers for $2.00. I declined his offer. According to the Bodega owner he had just gotten out of the hospital and was selling his Brand X Depends. Now if the hospital gave you the diapers upon discharge apparently you need them? Am I right? Yes of course I am. As Always.
Now back to your regularly scheduled Wonder bread programs.

This is my neighborhood. This is where I live. I’m really no better off than many of the poor who live here despite my work experience and college education. I always keep in mind that I’m only one step, one paycheck away from total poverty. My photography chronicles life as it really is not as a sugarcoated fairy land many people would like it to be.
This is what makes your images and commentary so fascinating… it’s real. The pendulum of fascination can swing from amusement to abhorrence as it passes through delight as well as disgust. I do not see your postings as having “entertainment” value… but rather as interesting glimpses of the way things really are. Keep up the good work…

Laugh and cry at the same time. Funny but sad that the old guy felt he had to sell his diapers for money. I’ve never seen him since so hopefully he is experiencing better days.
