SHARE YOUR WORLD – 2016 WEEK 1

As a child, who was your favorite relative?

My Aunt Thelma Palmer Varner. I spent many happy times with her at her apartment in Co-op City Bronx, NY. She also took me to the movies, petting zoos, shopping etc… Aunt Thelma was the “funny story” Aunt. Always having some weird, wacky yet wonderful NYC adventure. I was truly brokenhearted when she passed away from breast cancer in 1985. After she left the body I became very close to my Aunt Helen Palmer Garcia (the woman in the pink dress) who went to be with the Lord May 2010 at age 89. Both my Aunts (My Dad’s Sisters) had a great and positive impact on my life.

If you could be a tree or plant, what would you be?

A Palm Tree that way I’d know I’d be in a warm climate!! Or a Rose bush because that was my Mom Mable Elizabeth Palmer’s favorite flower. She planted many rosebushes in our backyard when I was growing up.

What would be your preference, awake before dawn or awake before noon?

Awake before Noon! Unfortunately my body clock loves to wake me up before dawn! Dang Insomnia!!

Would you like to sleep in a human size nest in a tree or be snuggled in a burrowed spot underground?

I don’t like heights but I’ve rather sleep in a well secured human size tree nest since being burrowed in the ground sounds too much like being buried underground!! I wanna me Jesus but not right now!! Let me sleep with the Eagles!

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I’m grateful for the Blessing to have spent time with my brother Stephen Vincent Palmer on Christmas Day and the following weekend. Regular readers of my blog know how much I Love my brother Stephen. He was my own personal Christmas gift! I’m also grateful for the Me-time I took this past New Year’s weekend. I just relaxed, rested, wrote my blogs, did my Soulful Struts, took photos and just enjoyed my time as a Solitary. As for the upcoming week I requested Friday, Jan. 8th off from work so I can attend a progress report meeting at Stephen’s Day Treatment Center, AABR. Anytime with Stephen is time well spent!

Real or made up. A super hero can be anybody. The lady next door who devotes her time to the needy, our soldiers across the seas or like our heroes growing up we can write about Batman or Wonder Woman. A super hero can take many forms. Lets write about them this week!

Every Halloween my brother Stephen and I become Super Heroes. Halloween is my favorite holiday because you can not only dress in costume but it’s okay to walk around the city in that costume with your new though temporary Identity. For a long time I went with a feline theme thus I was Cat Woman channeling Eartha Kitt for several Halloweens. As you can see I greatly enjoyed my Cat Woman and Tigeress Avatars! Stephen won Best Costume in 2011 for his Scarecrow Costume!! in 2013/2014 Stephen was a Sailor aka like the kid on the Cracker Jack box for those of you old enough to remember the caramel popcorn with the toy surprise. Obviously for those of you living on the East Coast of the United States Hurricane Sandy put the kibosh on Halloween that year. Some photos were taken at Stephen’s training center AABR in Jamaica, Queens, New York.

This past summer Stephen with his Group Home residence had visited The New York Renaissance Faire located in Tuxedo, New York. So together we decided on variations of a Renaissance Theme. I re-imagined Diana the Huntress as DeBorah the Huntress, a combination of the Hunger Games and the Goddess Diana. So I become the Goddess DeBorah acting out my incarnation as Huntress Protector of the Forest. Stephen transformed from a Sailor into the Black Robin Hood! This is what ensued.

Socialites debate levels of thinness while screaming crying babies suckle on long dried up teats.

Life continues on in glass castles unfazed by human suffering. Walking Stepford skinny chic walking decorations immobilized shields of Oil dollars. One piece of glittering jewelry could feed and house one thousand lost humanities. Let us trip the light fantasies weaving around hunger, blight and destruction all the while knowing it will never touch our gleaming manors. Golden parachutes always on hand.

Mankind marches on towards dinosaur extinction by our own hands. WinTourist DashKardian superficial fantasies supplicate the masses fill the empty plates providing empty calories while Rome burns. Politics, religion unreasonable fears of contamination. Moon-Skitters thrive on cell division.

Say Their Names!! Never allow their memories to fade!!

Our decision whether, how, & when to escape the matrix.

Are the Self-Exploding inwardly Imploding? Truth, Compassion, Understanding and Victory shall win out over evil, wickedness and animosity!! For the sacred has now become filled with the filth of the profane. An Outhouse disguised under the mantle of being a Holy Temple.

Veteran’s Day

Happy Veterans Awareness Month!! In the United States Veterans Day is this Wednesday November the 11th a day where we Honor those who served our beloved country America. Remember to Thank the Vets in your Life. Give special shout-outs to Women Veteran’s who are often ignored. Thank you!

Reason why I’m giving Special Shout-Outs to all the Women Veterans out there!! Several years ago when I was still living in Queens I attended a Sunday worship service in the church across from my home and during the course of the service the Pastor asked all the Veterans in the congregation to stand. Of course I stood up. He was shocked to see a Woman Veteran! He actually said Wow a Woman Vet! Now this took place about 4 or 5 years ago. Mind you he was and still is a great pastor but it underlies the problem of the church and women and in particular Women Veterans. It should not come as a surprise to have Women Vets in your congregation. Women have been serving in the military from America’s inception. Church Leaders, it’s time to recognize, acknowledge, honor and salute Our Women in the Military!

I give special Honor and Thanks to the Veterans in my family who have passed on. First and foremost my Dad Edward Gordon Palmer who served during the Korean War and my Great, great Grandfather William Henry Halstead, Connecticut Twenty-Ninth (Colored) Regt. C. V. INFANTRY who served in the Civil War. Proud to be a descendant of a 29th Colored Regiment Warrior!!

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown — clip

Halloween Last Year 2014. Actually Stephen wore this costume for both Halloween 2013 and 2014. This year I decided he needed a new costume. Stephen went to see Renaissance Faire in upstate New York so we decided on a semi-Renaissance theme for this years Halloween. By today’s end or at least tomorrow morning Get Ready to see the Super Sibs become Ladies and Knights of yore!

Last year I went as a Black Panther, the animal not the radical group from the 60s! This year with Stephen’s input I decided to ditch the animal themes and Go Forth as a Huntress. Stephen will be a Robin Hood with Soul!!
