  1. WOW – it seems like only yesterday when he hit it big in the New Orleans jazz scene (where I was in grad school). 76 is sounding younger as I get older – tho’ there was a time when it seemed ancient. Sad that he will no longer be blessing us with his music.

    1. I figured he was getting up in age but at least he was able to keep singing until illness stopped him. Very few of us get to live our dreams plus make a living doing so. His legacy is his music.
