This past weekend hundreds of people gathered in Eatonville, FL to celebrate the life and works of Miss Zora Neale Hurston. #zorafest She is one of my favorite authors and I wish I would have been able to attend this year. Unfortunately that did not work out, so I decided to honor her in my own small way. Here is my favorite quote from her:

If you are unfamiliar with Miss Hurston, she was a giant in the Harlem Renaissance. You may have seen a movie called “Their Eyes Were Watching God” staring Halle Berry.
