The ongoing saga of, “THE FLOWERING VINE” will continue next week.
Once upon a time, allegedly, in a nice little forest, there lived an orphaned bunny and an orphaned snake. By a surprising coincidence, both were blind from birth.

One day, the bunny was hopping through the forest, and the snake was slithering through the forest, when the bunny tripped over the snake and fell down. This, of course, knocked the snake about quite a bit.

“Oh, my,” said the bunny, “I’m terribly sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you. I’ve been blind since birth, so, I can’t see where I’m going. In fact, since I’m also an orphan, I don’t even know what I am.”

The NRA literally has a seat at the table when it comes to controlling our laws — despite the fact that their extreme views are completely out-of-step with the vast majority of the American people. It’s deeply concerning to see Wayne LaPierre at the table with Trump in a meeting about this important nomination.

It’s ok to not be ok

I have often felt this way. However When I decided to take off the mask and be the real me and not some always fake smiling doll life began to make sense.


Being ok. Are any of us truly ‘ok’? This is not an attempt to sound pessimistic, or to shatter the illusion of ‘okness’. It’s a ponder, no more, no less. Just a thought, which leads to words, which then lead to questions.

Are we all truly ok? Or are we all just putting on a brave face for the sake of societal politeness? Think about it. How many times have you not been ‘ok’, but you’ve gone out in the world and pretended that you were? How many times have you showed up to school, or work, or wherever you interact with the public most, and inside, you’re upset, and want nothing more but to go home and hide from the world?

If you’ve ever felt like that, or if you ever do in the future, remember this – it’s ok to not be ok.
