Dictators, tyrants & the Totalitarian government of the U.S.A.

My girlfriend and co-worker is from Iran. Because of that resident Nazi illegally in charge of our country she will not longer be able to travel to Iran to see her siblings nor will they be able to travel here to see her and her husband. A College educated woman like myself when she was living in Iran she was a school teacher has been happily married to an American Christian for about 17 years.

My friend and I started together at the museum and we’ve always had each other’s backs. She has shown me nothing but kindness, understand and compassion. She has worked hard and was promoted to Supervisor during our nine years at the Museum. She is one of the best Security Supervisors at the Museum. She treats everyone fairly showing true leadership capabilities through service.

I’ve had the opportunity to meet her mother one of her sisters and her nephew. The most wonderful people in the world. My girlfriend’s Mom only speaks Farsi but when we first met she hugged me so tight and Loved me even though she knew of me only from her daughter’s descriptions. Now my friend’s Mom and one of her sisters live with her. The mother is nearing if not already 70.

Put yourself in their shoes and imagine how they must feel knowing they can never again travel to the land of their birth nor can her Mom see her children or my girlfriend ever see her siblings except via Skype.

All because they are Muslim.

Once the Muslim Registration begins I shall add my name and if this fascist government wishes to label me with a set of numbers like Hitler did to the Jews in Nazi Germany I shall take the mark. If my Persian girlfriend and her family must suffer I will suffer along with them. Then again as a Black Woman in America suffering and struggle is an every day affair for me anyway. I’ve been considered the “Wrong race and gender” since the day I was born.

They are coming for us. One. By. One.

BREAKING NEWS
Refugees have been stopped and detained at U.S. airports under President Trump’s immigration ban, prompting legal action

Saturday, January 28, 2017 8:15 AM EST

President Trump’s executive order closing the nation’s borders to refugees was put into immediate effect Friday night. Refugees who were in the air on the way to the United States when the order was signed were stopped and detained at airports.
The detentions prompted legal challenges as lawyers representing two Iraqi refugees held at Kennedy Airport filed a writ of habeas corpus early Saturday in the Eastern District of New York seeking to have their clients released. At the same time, they filed a motion for class certification, in an effort to represent all refugees and immigrants who they said were being unlawfully detained at ports of entry.

President Trump’s temporary ban on refugees establishes a religious test: Christians from Muslim nations will be given priority

Friday, January 27, 2017 11:03 PM EST

President Trump on Friday closed the nation’s borders to refugees from around the world, ordering that families fleeing the slaughter in Syria be indefinitely blocked from entering the United States, and temporarily suspending immigration from several predominantly Muslim countries.
Declaring the measure part of an extreme vetting plan to keep out “radical Islamic terrorists,” Mr. Trump also established a religious test for refugees from Muslim nations: He ordered that Christians and others from minority religions be granted priority over Muslims.

  1. I don’t like to like this…. you know what I mean, Deborah! I have no words. I can’t believe this is really happening. I cannot believe that he is not stopped in doing this! I am simply shocked!

    1. I am afraid. Who will be next?
Another one of my co-workers is from Bangladesh a Muslim country. Every time we see each other at work we hug and he asks me to pray for him. Every day I’m in prayer for all my Muslim co-workers and friends.

      1. I just discussed this here at home. It is unbelievable how this person is abusing his power and unites the whole world against the US. I don’t understand why his stuff did not stop him. This is almost like a declaration of war to all those countries! He is not doing a favor to anyone and most of all not to the US!!! I am so upset!!!

      2. I agree with you. However I have an idea. I actually received a comment saying that my blog posts were filled with hate. Obviously this person is a Trump supporter. After reading what he is doing I’m the one who hates? Go figure? ! I guess I’m not supposed to be concerned about my country and those of us whose lives are at stake. I didn’t respond to the person.
Anyway they unsubsribed. I must put my energy towards protest.

      3. Never forget what a person perceives says more about the person than about what their opinion is directed to! There was no hate in your post as far as I can see it… only concern and compassion for the ones who are treated like criminals only because of their origin! I am glad they unsubscribed your blog! You don’t need that energy!!! You have a big heart… don’t let anyone tell you something else!

      4. Thanks. I appreciate your support. Living as a Black Woman in America I’m kinda used to hearing derogatory negative things. For me this is nearly an every day affair. But sometimes it still boggles the mind when you people actually have the nerve to tell you that your/my blog is not living up to their expectations as though I’m writing this blog for them personally. That person’s opinion does not matter to me however the hell that my Iranian girlfriend is going through Yes That Matters to Me. What she suffers. I suffer.

      5. Oh, yes, that arrogance of thinking only they have the perfect opinion and all else is wrong. Although I don’t know anyone who is affected by that latest strike I am feeling so deeply with those people. It is such an injustice and ignorance of what this means for those people! Their struggles now is what matters indeed!

      6. Thanks again. I just finished writing a blog based on Luke 7:25-30. For minorities in the United States everything has changed. We are living in a new cruel reality not of our making but yet we must deal with this situation.

      7. Yes. Fortunately Life is cyclical. In time Justice will rule out. In the meantime I’m sticking with my Iranian friend because she needs me. She needs to know that people care about and for her. I see her as an individual. A friend who happens to be Muslim. I accept her as she is. Too bad others must pass judgement based on skin color or religious faith.

      8. Yes, it is so important now that they know that others care for them no matter what any people in the government do! They cannot stop the power of love!

  2. This new reality is despicable and unconscionable. Every thinkable resistance must be applied. Thank you for sharing and much respect and love to your friend and colleague!

    1. I am in prayer for my Muslim co-workers and friends every day. Through my blog I will continue to resist. I was not able to make the Womens March but I will be a part of future demonstrations and marches.

      1. Yes! Standing with and praying for those who are so eminently affected. I, like you, was not able to make the Women’s March, but definitely will be in future marches and protests. Like those at major airports tonight. I appreciate your writing. Blessings! ❤️️🙏🏽

      2. Spoke with my Iranian girlfriend a few hours ago. She and her Mom are very depressed and distraught. She, her Mom and her sister cannot travel to Iran because if they go there to visit family members they can never return to the USA. Even though she is married to an American he cannot travel to Iran because in response to Trumps stupid move the government of Iran has blocked all Americans from going to Iran. Her siblings cannot come to visit America as they have been doing in the past because our dumb government thinks they are terrorists!! Just plain stupid!! I’ve known my girlfriend and her husband for 9 years. We are like Sisters. Every Iranian person at my job Loves America. They came here for Freedom. Why are they being kept separate from their families? This is awful. Thanks for joining the Prayer Chain!! God Bless.

      3. This is such a desperate situation –– one which must be repeated so many times over. I’ve read so many on FB and Twitter. These are peaceful and law abiding people. I’m standing with you and your colleagues and friends as best I can in thoughts and prayers. We will not give up!!

      4. I am quietly organizing a multi-faith prayer chain for my girlfriend and her family. I’ve emailed several of my co-workers who know her and who will pray and uphold my friend and her family. Thank you for your prayers.

      1. Now I wake up wondering when I arrive at my workplace will all my Muslim co-workers be gone? Will Dhrump deport or execute them or anyone who refuses to bow to his unjust rules.

  3. I don’t understand how he gets away with all of his actions. Everyone is in total agreement with every single thing he says and does?? Boggles the mind, DeBorah; simply boggles the mind.

    1. Our is a sick society my friend. Believe it or not I was actually accused by a former follower of being hateful because I’m reporting the news. He or she unsubsribed which is okay with me. So Trump has his supporters who are egging him on similar to Hitler.

    1. Just spoke to my Iranian friend about an hour ago. She is really depressed. Her Mom and sister only have the Green Card so if they leave the U.S.A. to visit Iran they cannot return. Also the Iran government has retaliated by banning U.S. Citizens. Therefore her husband being American cannot travel to Iran with his wife. It is a No-Win situation!!
