SHARE YOUR WORLD – 2016 WEEK 24

back2-school2With your answers, please remember we are in the SYW world which may not always match our reality.

What is the most fun thing you did in school?

Any type of Art! Also a cinematography class I took in my Senior Year of High School. All we did was watch movies! The funniest part of that semester was when my teacher answered a knock at the door and when he opened it somebody plastered him with a Coconut Cream pie!! LOL!!  Shades of Soupy Sales!!

What is your favorite type of dog?  (can be anything from a specific breed, a stuffed animal or character in a movie)

Beagles. Had a Beagle named Dolly when I was a little girl. Also I’m a big Snoopy fan.

You are invited to a party that will be attended by many fascinating people you never met.  Would you attend this party if you were to go by yourself?

Sure! Why not?!  Since I’m a Single Lady I do many activities and attend many functions alone. Great way to meet people and have some interesting conversations

Complete this sentence:  Never In My Life Have I….

Bungee Jumped or Parachuted out of a plane. And I never will!!  Fear of heights! Riding in an Army helicopter, C 130 & C 140 was enough for me while I was in the Army!

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Just happy not to be in as much pain as I was last week. Those of you who suffer from arthritis and back pain know what I mean. Yesterday I was able to sweep, mop my floor and continue with my Spring Cleaning program!  Hooray!! Some days I’m totally sidelined by extreme pain but this past weekend was good and I accomplished lots of cleaning!!  Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!!

Looking forward to next weekend and the opportunity to rest, relax and sleep!!

    1. Soupy Sales was hilarious!! I was hooked on his TV program. Loved watching him get hit by cream pies at the end of each show as well as those crazy puppets like Fang! LOL!! Glad you Like my school girl nerd photo. School days Memories!! 🙂

  1. My mom loved to watch Soupy Sales. Do the calories count if someone hits you with a coconut cream pie? 😉 I love those, but don’t eat it very often. I’m glad you got a reprieve from the discomfort and got a whole lot of cleaning done. It’s so nice to have a “good” day and feel like something was accomplished. I’ve no interest in either of those jumps! I’m quite happy on the ground. We did a short helicopter tour at Myrtle Beach a while back. A fun experience, but I was kind of glad when it was over.

  2. Keep feeling better, DeBorah. I have lower back pain nearly all the time, so I feel for you. “Hold within your mind an image of perfect health.” I try… it helps, but it is hard to hold that image. Hugs 🙂

    1. What I do for a living aggravates the back pain but sometimes it’s down to a low roar. It never really goes away but it’s something that I’m learning to deal with. Certain jobs make the pain worse and I have one of those type jobs. All I have to do is bear the pain for two more years then retirement! 🙂

  3. In your school girl photo, you look very much like someone that I went to elementary school with back in South Carolina. 🙂

I do understand what you said about pain. Arthritis is no fun at all. I am glad that you were able to get some things accomplished and feel better.

I’ve never bungee jumped or parachuted either. I did have an uncle that was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. 🙂 Personally, I think skydiving sounds exciting, but it isn’t something that I’m likely to ever do, especially at this point in my life.

I enjoyed your post. Have a blessed weekend!

      1. You’re welcome. 🙂 My uncle was in the Army in the 1960s and very early 1970s. Unfortunately, he was murdered in 1977 along with his wife.

“Chairborne” is funny! It makes me think of a phrase that I always hear in relation to people in the Air Force, which is “desk fliers”.

Our oldest son is in the Navy and our youngest son is a Marine. 🙂

        May God bless you, too!

      2. So sorry to hear about your Uncle and his wife. A big salute to him for his service. Happy to hear that your sons are serving in the military. Prayers for their safety.
