Share Your World – 2016 Week 44

What was your favorite subject in school?
Actually I had two favorite subjects. English and History or back then it was called Current Events.
If you could have a servant come to your house every day for two hours, what would you have them do?
My Laundry!!
Where did you live when you were in the third grade of school? Is it the same place or town you live now?
Third Grade. I would have been age 9. I Lived on 115th Road in St. Albans, Queens, NY. I no longer live there. Now I Live in Brownsville, Brooklyn, NY. The below photo taken March 1964 is Stephen and I sitting on the stoop of our home. I was 5 Stephen would have been 3.

In your opinion, list some places that are great for shopping?
Jamaica Avenue. Downtown Jamaica, Queens. Today I scored two winter sweaters for only $3 a piece. That’s $6.00 of warmth!!
Green Acres shopping mall located in Long Island, New York
Fulton Street Brooklyn New York
Lord & Taylor located near 37th or 38th Streets on Fifth Avenue.
Actually there are many funky, fun, fascinating places to shop in New York but those are the once that come to mind immediately.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m Grateful for this wonderful email message that I received from my brother Stephen yesterday. Here is the message. Please don’t mind the spelling. I think Stephen is doing quite well for an Autism Guy. He is wonderful.
Good morning sister, hi how are you doing today. I got your massage and will make you another picture, and bring it when i come to see you again.

Thank you! That’s us. Super Siblings. Now and Forever!! ❤
💕
We are nearly the same age. I was born in Nov 1960. 😀
Wow!! Yes we are neck and neck. I was born in 1959, Stephen in 1961. Long Live the Baby Boomers!! We rule!! 🙂 😀 ❤
We definitely do rule 😀 😀
Great costumes DeBorah, Stephen makes a good Knight.

Thanks! Every time somebody asked Stephen who he was portraying he would answer the “Dark Knight” with emphasis on Dark and lowering his voice a few octaves!! LOL!! That’s my brother! Full of jokes!! 🙂 😀
I hope those sneaky demons didn’t get any of your treats!!

No. Mainly because I try to stay away from candy and sweets. Diabetes runs in my family and my doctor has already told me that I’m pre-diabetic. No worries. Thanks for the sneaky skeleton Gif!! Funny!! 🙂 😀
I totally loved History in school and still do. It never ceases to amaze how well kept your photos are.
The secret to well kept older photos is to scan them. Prior to that most of them were in photo albums and in some cases still are. During the time I had a printer/copier/Scanner I did my best to try to scan every family photo that I could find. Thankfully with new 21st Century technology everything goes up to the “Google Cloud” and is never lost.
Do you know I’m secretly scared of those cloud things. I think of one big alien space where we dump stuff 😉
One of my co-workers voiced similar concerns. However as long as I’m not taking naked pictures and uploading them I’m safe!! 🙂 😀 😉 ;D
That’s what I always tell myself. As long as I’m not uploading any naughty stuff 😉
Yup! If more folks kept their personal lives private and saved certain things for their spouse or Lover eyes only there would not be so many scandals!!
Great costumes – I love them! It looks like you and Stephen had an awesome, fun time…love the pictures!
😎
Spider Woman and the Dark Knight Rule & Reign. Every time somebody asked Stephen about his Halloween Costume he told them that he was the “Dark Knight!!” Where he got this reference from I don’t know but he even added some lower octaves to his voice for a greater & deeper effect!! LOL!! Autism Guy Humor!! 🙂 😀
I think that the “Dark Knight” is awesome! He even has a great tabard on…very well done!
I love your Spider Woman costume as well – it’s excellent!
No dress-up for me this year…my hair wasn’t ready, and it takes some time to do, LOL
🙂
We both Thank you! I think he decided on the Dark Knight moniker after seeing numerous Batman movies and trips he has taken with his Group Home to New York Renaissance Faire located in Tuxedo New York. Let’s hope the Residence is Not allowing him to see Game of Thrones or who knows what next years Halloween costumes will be!! http://renfair.com/ny/faqs/
I had wanted to do my hair up in Bantu Knots but did not have the time so I just blow dried my hair so it would be wild and crazy for Halloween. My hair is also a Member of the Not Ready for Prime Time Players!! LOL!! 😀 😉 ;D
Great costumes! Keep up with your great work…
Thanks! I appreciate your readership!! Always Glad to hear from you!!
I’m glad you’re still close to your brother. Love the picture sitting on the stoop. March was probably pretty chilly in NY!
Thanks. Only the two of us now. We are very close.
