Dearest Sister Friend. Last Saturday you stepped out of time and into eternity. You went from Labor to Reward. Your Loss was felt by co-workers, friends and family. I miss you smile. I miss you laughter. I miss your corny jokes while standing waiting for the Cross Town Bus. You were a Rose among the thorns. Softness in a bed of thorns. A Jewel who shined everywhere you went. Bringing Joy, Happiness, and Laughter to everyone who was Blessed to be in your presence.
Taken way too soon. You made your short time on this earth count. Beloved by many. Missed by all. Gone but never forgotten. Another Angel returned to God.
Rest in Peace My Precious Sister. Sunrise: November 29, 1958. Sunset: October 22, 2016.
We will meet again. I Love You Bernadine. You’re still my Girl! Wear that Heavenly Crown!
1 Corinthians 15:55-57
King James Version (KJV)
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I Love You can be the most meaningful words in the English language or the most empty depending on who is speaking and their motivation. People toss around the word Love and Friend just as the emoticons on Facebook, Email or other types of social media. When you say I Love You to somebody that means you’re willing to stick your neck out for them, be there for them no matter what the circumstances and Love as well as Friendship entails some risk and/or inconvenience. Love is being in a bloody nasty E.R. of a hospital because the one you Love is badly injured or is facing a Life threatening illness. Love is going with someone to their numerous medical appointments or at least making sure they have the means/access to transportation to get to the doctor’s office or hospital. Love is opening your home when said Loved One is about to be evicted, Love is still accepting and valuing your “Friend” | Loved One once they incur a disability that changes their Lives drastically.
Love is making sure that person has food to eat and warm clothing to wear in the scarcity and brutality of winter. Love is unchanging and stable as your friends from childhood and young adulthood change bodily and are no longer able to do the things they once did. Love does not include passing judgment on that person or rejecting them when the chips are down. Love is truly accepting folks of different sexual orientations.
Before you say you Love someone whether it is your Lover, Spouse, Friend or Family Member read 1 Corinthians 13 and really, truly think about what it is saying. Love is not your church or your religion. It goes beyond that because most folks are just Pew Warmers. They attend church out of duty and obligation or fancy church as a type of social club. Until then Please Stop Telling Me that you Love me because obviously you have No Idea of the True Meaning of the Word. I have no use for “Jesus in a Box” Christians who pull him out like a talisman that will give authority to whatever stupidity is about to come out of their mouths or through their pens/computers. Keep your type of Love for those who fit your narrow criteria.

The Parable of the Good Samaritan
Jesus spoke this parable because he knew his audience was composed of religious hypocrites who picked and chose who was worthy of their “Love.” Just Like today. I guess things have not changed all that much.
So many ancestries run through my veins. Africa, Native American, Ireland course throughout my circulatory tributaries. All merging into one.
I take the Warm Spring healing waters from Gaia’s womb. Water. Rain. Storms. Floods. Tidal Waves. Tsunamis. Showers. Oceans. Seas. Lakes. Ponds. Water possesses the powers of creation and destruction. River and Mountain Goddess meet. Fresh moving waters provide life. Stagnant still waters harbor seeds of death. Tears of sorrow, sadness and grief. Tears of joy, happiness and relief.
We create man-made fountains in the city to satiate our thirsty souls.
We spend the first nine months of our lives in our Mother’s amniotic waters.
Our bodies are approximately composed of 70% water.
Health officials recommend drinking eight glasses of water a day to replenish what we lose through sweating, excretion and elimination.
Water in most faiths is a method of cleansing and renewal.
Jesus was baptized in the River Jordan. (Matthew 3:13)
Most Christians are baptized at some point in their lives.
In Buddhism one of the goals is to wash away the illusions and delusions of Ego.
Hindus after cremation often scatter their Loved ones ashes into the sacred River Ganges.
At the end of the song they call upon Oshun, West African Orisha of Love and the Sweet Waters from the World Goddess. The Orishas call to my ancestral soul beckoning me to the indigenous beliefs of the Mother Land. I hear their cries mixed with those of my Native American ancestors calling me to return. Return Home.
Pope Francis Takes 12 Refugees Back to Vatican After Trip to Greece
Proving that the Children of Abraham can Live in Peace! Also we must help each other no matter what race, skin color, ethnic group or religion! Pope Francis is showing the way!
This is what Jesus would do!!
Just because one group of people do something evil does not make all followers of that religion or a certain race evil.
If we applied the same logic to all the mass murders in America for the last 12 years we would have to ban all white man. The murderers of those children in a Ct. school a few Christmas’ ago, the person who shot worshipers at a Bible Study last year, the man who shot up the movie theater plus countless other mass killings were all white men! Now does that make all white males murderers? No! Of course not!
There are extremists in every religion. After all the United States still has the Ku Klux Klan, the Christian Identity Movement and the American Nazi Party. All of which claim to be Christians. I guess if they met Jesus they would lynch him also since Jesus was Jewish!
We need more Love, Peace, Understanding and Compassion in the world. Let’s stop making people into stereotypes just because they are a different faith than you or a different color than you!
I believe this Help Prompt is fitting for Good Friday as Christians worldwide acknowledge Jesus dying on the Cross for all humans and His Resurrection on Easter Sunday. This sacrifice is the greatest Help I know.
I cannot say or define help any better than the story of the Good Samaritan as related in Luke 10:25-37. Here is Jesus relating this parable.
25 And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?”
27 So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’[a] and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’”[b]
28 And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.”
29 But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30 Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.31 Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.32 Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side.33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion.34 So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.35 On the next day, when he departed,[c] he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’36 So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?”
