Karma Chameleon

Reincarnation: do you believe in it?

In my personal opinion as a Christian who is studying Buddhism I think Resurrection and Reincarnation may be two sides of the same coin. Perhaps a combination of both. If I must return in some form I’d like to be a Tree as opposed to coming back as a human or an animal. Also I would not want to return to this earth such as it is. I believe there are other planets and galaxies out there with resonant life forms.

Like Daphne I ran from Death’s sickles and scythe my feet became roots, my legs and chest a strong trunk, my hands, arms and hair branches and leaves.

The Woman Who Was Turned Into a Tree

My sisters and I speared the man creating a copse around his rotting corpse.  He is gone. He is destroyed. Once again the Circle is renewed stronger than before.

I would love to return as a Tree in the primordial rain forests of Pangaea. A Banyan and Bodhi Tree with outstretched branches and roots. Raising my branches and leaves high to the sky worshiping Goddess who took a remnant of the faithful from doomed planet Earth and reformed Gaia in a distant Lunar system to start over to replant earthly extinct flora and fauna for another chance at life.

Long ago in the ascent of Pangaea there were two moons orbiting each other. Then one was thrown out of its natural orbit colliding with the other. At the point of collision dust, seeds and podules rained down on the nascent Pangaea rich fertile womb birthing every species in Gaia’s thoughts, wishes and dreams. Thus was reborn a fresh new start for all sentient beings.

And I the first Tree privy to all the secrets and dream-wishes of Mother Gaia and Daughter Pangaea whisper sweet wisdom throughout the later. Communing with the rushing rivers, succulent seas and teeming oceans life arises through myriad birth canals including the two-legs my caregiver creation to whom I have given dominion and responsibility for every being rooted, creeping, leaping, running and walking. Mark well your 2nd chance Dear two-legs for the land was made for you and you for the land. Keep my Blessing fruitful and well nourished. Cry out to me and the ancient ones will answer for wisdom and knowledge flow within your veins. The Akashic Records are written within your souls, they cry out from my branches, they feed from my roots, they shout from Cave Walls. Listen fleshly souls that your journey on earth may be prosperous in true alignment with time, eternity and space.

Psalm 1 New International Version (NIV)

BOOK I

Psalms 1–41

Psalm 1

Blessed is the one
    who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
    or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
    and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
    which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
    whatever they do prospers.

Not so the wicked!
    They are like chaff
    that the wind blows away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
    nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,
    but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

TREES

by: Joyce Kilmer (1886-1918)

THINK that I shall never see

A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
“Trees” was originally published in Trees and Other Poems. Joyce Kilmer. New York: George H. Doran Company, 1914.

If you were a pen, what type, style and color would you be?

A Fountain Pen with purple ink. I often feel like an anachronism. One born out of time, meant to be in another century. As a kid I had some fountain pens and I loved them despite the fact that they could be messy. One just had to learn to tame that ink! LOL!

How many languages do you you speak?

One. English. Took Spanish in High School but that was over 30 years ago! However living in New York does give me opportunities to use my rickety Spanish skills. One day I will master the Spanish language.

Are you a listener or talker?

I listen but really enjoy talking more.

Rather Have:  Which would you rather have, 2 million dollars or true love?

True Love. Uncle Sam would take most of the $2 million leaving me with not much left. However with true love you never know. Perhaps my next man will be a millionaire and I’ll have both Love and Wealth! 🙂  LOL!

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Being able to spend time outside enjoying New York City and today having fun hiking the Ramble Nature Trails in Central Park.  I’m becoming a Real Rambling Rosie!!  😀 LOL!!  Check out my pictures:  http://roamingurbangypsy.com/2015/09/07/rambling-through-central-park/

Looking forward to my upcoming vacation!! Yessssssss!!!!!!!!  More rambling and exploring the Big Apple!! Booyah!!

SHARE YOUR WORLD – 2015 WEEK #29

imagesAs a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

At first like most little girls I wanted to be a Mommy, then as I got older an Artist and later on a Writer. Never married so no children. I am a writer and an artist of sorts. I work as a security guard in a museum so I’m a starving artist/writer.

What was your favorite food as a child? Do you eat it now?

Chocolate and yes I still eat it. Fried chicken. I still eat that too even though I’m not supposed to but life is no fun without some food vices.

If you were invisible, where would you go?

I’d go out at midnight to the darkest, most nitty gritty rough neighborhoods in New York and take photos.

Would you rather forget everyone else’s name all the time or have have everyone for your name all the time?

Actually neither one. However now that I am older I do forget people’s names but I remember faces very well. Guess that is just aging. For some strange reason at work I get called Barbara, Brenda, Michelle, Pamela every name except DeBorah even though I’ve worked there over 7 years. Also the supervisors and the Dispatch office gets me mixed up with other African American female guards in the workplace. Sometimes I feel like saying, No We Don’t All Look Alike!  But I correct them right away.  I wish they’d just look at my ID card then there would be no confusion.  My Asian co-workers have the same problem. People on the job mix up the Filipinas and Chinese women all the time.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I’m grateful for having the opportunity to take some wonderful pictures of Central Park and the New York skyline. Also I got some good news today so I’m looking forward to a special gift in the mail.

With Every Season Turn, Turn, Turn

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Turn, Turn, Turn.”

Seasons change so quickly! Which one do you most look forward to? Which is your least favorite?

DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince – Summertime

My Favorite Season is Summer! I Love Heat, Sunshine, Warmth. Must be my African blood. I wish New York’s climate was more like California, Hawaii or Florida. Summer gives me the opportunity to wear dresses and skirts.  I tend to get out more because the weather is good during the summer.  Going to the park, the beach, just being able to soak in the sun’s rays is my ideal dream.  I Love seeing the trees and flowers in bloom, walking through the grass and enjoying nature.

My least favorite season is winter. I HATE cold, ice, snow, & freezing temps. Ugh!!  Housebound. Hibernating (NOT!!)  Traveling in snow and ice is dangerous. Fear of falling and breaking my limbs. Transportation can be iffy and who wants to stand outside in the snow, sleet and/or ice waiting for a bus or train?!  Yuck!!  Having to spend 20 minutes putting on 5 layers of clothing is not sexy!!  Neither is not seeing that black ice hiding under the snow and taking a tumble. Nor is getting unwanted exercise shoveling snow and putting down deicer just so you can get out of the house!  Also cold frozen winter temps are really bad for my arthritis. Painful locked joints are no fun.

So give this hot blooded woman a sunshiny 85 degree day 24/7/365!!
