Foodie

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Red Pill, Blue Pill.”

No. I would never substitute a pill for food!  Even if it had all the nutritional value and daily requirements. I really enjoy the flavor and texture of real food, especially home cooked meals.

And who knows the real deal about those all inclusive food pills?

Could be soylent green! Charlton Heston fans will get this film reference!

What are some words that just make you smile?

Free Food or Free Money!!

You’re given $500,000 dollars tax free (any currency), what do you spend it on?

First I would pay off most of my bills then, quit my job and travel around the United States then the world!!

What subject would you like to study in depth, if given the time to do so?

World Literature. I have a B.A. in English and would love to go further in my education.

Would your rather be stuck in a small plane with bad turbulence for 2 hours or be a passenger in a car racing the Daytona 500?

After serving four years in the U.S. Army 1977 to 1981 and having to travel on C 130, C 140 and an Army helicopter no more flying machines stuck in turbulence for me!  Nix and Hell to the Naw on the Daytona 500 Racing car!  Sheesh I’ve survived riding in New York City taxis and that’s enough crazy driving for me!

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Grateful I made it through last week despite having stomach and back problems.  Looking forward to have a healthier and hopefully pain free week ahead.

Creepy

While on my way to the doctor’s office I saw this Creepy Talon Fingernails Hand at 59th Street Columbus Circle.

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Creepy.”

Down and Out for the Count

Due to stomach, digestion problems and a continuous back ache I have not been able to produce content for my blog recently.  I’ve had these aches and pains for years but lately it has started to get worse. As always back and forth to doctors trying various remedies that provide little or no relief. I have no idea whether my illness is a sign getting older or stress or maybe a combination of the two. Unfortunately I still must work. Need that job in order to pay the bills and keep a roof over my head. If I was a rich woman I’d take a 6 month sabbatical to Caribbean Health Spa to get the rest and relaxation I truly need but as a poor working class woman that’s not possible so I endure.

As a writer I’m still jotting down ideas in my notebook but alas none will get to the computer or this blog any time soon. Also being in constant pain prevents me from reading all your blogs as much as I would like. I will get to all your blog posts in time but it may take a couple of months before I can really catch up.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.
