Are you a hugger or a non-hugger?

Non-Hugger!! I don’t like to be touched!!  Particularly when I it comes to men. Guys are way too touchy feely. Ugh! Creepy! This 5th Grader has made some rules that both genders can use. (See Link Below)  It’s also best for folks to keep their hands to themselves and keep your distance!

I Do Hug my brother Stephen and a few close friends. Very few.

What is your least favorite Candy?

Hmmm… I suppose anything gooey like marshmallows.  Once a guy whom I was dating brought me some Turkish Delight from Istanbul, Turkey however it was way too sweet for me and I had to give it away.  Also given the fact that I’m Pre-Diabetic I should not be eating any type of candy!

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word “fun”?

Spending time with my brother Stephen.

List of Favorite Smells: What smells do you love? Whether it’s vanilla scented candles or the smell of coffee in the morning or the smell of a fresh spring rain…make a list of all the things you love for a little aromatherapy.

Vanilla, Eucalyptus, fresh baked bread, fried chicken, roses, etc…

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

That I made it through my work week which is an accomplishment within itself. Spent time with Stephen last weekend and the Happiness & Joy of me being on vacation this week.  Sunday I look forward to taking my girlfriend out for her 60th Birthday!! Now that will be lots of fun!!

If you were given a boat or yacht today, what would you name it?  (You can always sell the yacht later)

My Yacht worthy of the Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous would be christened “The Wanderlust!!”  As you can see Stephen is ready for our great Sailing Adventures!!

Which of Snow White’s 7 dwarfs describes you best?  (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey)Plus what would the 8th dwarf’s name be?

Sleepy.  I Love Napping and my job makes me tired after a long week at work. Even though I have chronic Insomnia which only bothers me at night. During the day I could easily be a Professional Napper. The 8th Dwarf’s Name would be Wacky!!

Name a song or two which are included on the soundtrack to your life?

I will survive – Gloria Gaynor

The Pointer sisters – I’m so excited

Cyndi Lauper – Girls Just Want To Have Fun (Official Video)

Patti LaBelle – New Attitude

Complete this sentence:  I like watching…

People and pets in the Park!

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

That I was able to help a co-worker who was depressed about a family situation. Not that I did anything special but I listened and gave her a shoulder to cry on plus some words of encouragement.

Getting dance crazy with buddies this weekend!!

Looking forward to and hoping for a quiet calm work week.

With your answers, please remember we are in the SYW world which may not always match our reality.

Would you travel into outer space?

No!!  Never!! Terrified of heights. Bad back! Bad stomach. Poor digestion. Barf City!! Ugh!!

Which country/city in the world (that you have never been to) would you most like to visit and why?

London. Would like to visit The British Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum and the Tate Modern.

What could you do to breath more deeply today?

Not much. New York is having a heat wave. It’s been 100 degrees for the last several days. I’ve already taken two showers and am trying to stay inside with both the fan and AC going. Drinking ice water. Breathing techniques have never worked for me. Meditation and mindfullness do nothing for me. I’m probably the only person alive who has been going to a Buddhist Temple for five years with little or No effect!  I’m extremely high strung, nervous and have a lot of anxiety. That’s just the way I am. However if somebody would give me $50,000 so I could take off work for six months I’d be very happy!

Complete this sentence:  This creamy peanut butter sandwich could really use some …

Jelly.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Grateful that last weekend I got to spend time with my brother Stephen. Also met up with a friend that I had not seen in a long time.

Can’t say I’m looking forward to anything this week. Just hope that I make it through the workweek. My job is very stressful.

Are you left or right handed?

Right Handed.

If you had only one TV, would you prefer the TV in the living room or another room?

I don’t have a TV in my current location. No room. I can’t afford a TV or the high cost of Cable Television. I did save my Mom’s small TV after she died but that is in storage.  Now I’m used to not watching or having a TV so even if my housing situation improves I doubt I would purchase one.

Have you ever participated in a distance walking, swimming, running, or biking event? Tell your story.

Thanks to Uncle Sam who had me marching, walking and running long distances Yes. I served in the U.S. Army from 1977 – 1981 and believe me like that old TV commercial used to say soldiers do more before 9:00 am than most people do during an entire day. Good Old Papa Tango or PT!! CQ banging on your door with a metal stick at 5:00 am so you can make a 6:00 am formation. We ran in boots sometimes our Jump Boots. No fancy sneakers or running shoes.  Usually the Sgt. is running alongside the formation calling Cadence. Most of these songs raunchy but you got used to it.  They weren’t there to pamper your ears. Here are two of the cleaner Cadence songs from my Army Days.

I was in the 569th PSC, Augsburg, Germany and the 101st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles)!!

While working at my former company I did participate in one of those Heart or Cancer walks. Can’t remember which one. Maybe once I retire if it is physically possible I might start doing some 5K walks. No running. Bad arthritic knees.

My one week vacation for the first week in May got approved!! Hooray!! Now I will be able to be with and help Celebrate my brother Stephen’s 55th Birthday!! Yippee!!  I am also Thankful for a wonderful Palm Sunday and yesterday Easter Sunday. Looking forward to the month of April and hopefully warmer weather for the New York City area.
