A cup of Green Tea and some yogurt rejuvenated and restored me so that I was able to go to the grocery store and get in my walking exercise.
First the musical interlude:
Grover Washington Jr – Soulful Strut
I was blessed to meet Grover Washington, Jr. many years ago after attending a Jazz concert. Sadly he has since passed away. Wonderful and great Jazz Artist!
My Soulful Strut
Just finished a walk from Rockaway Avenue all the way to Bed-Stuy Restoration Plaza. I bettered my distance from last month! Since I do not have one of those fancy devices that tells you how far you’ve walked I just measure my distance covered by each subway station that I pass. Last month I only made it to Kingston-Throop and Bed-Stuy Restoration Plaza though not a subway stop is beyond that so I feel I’ve accomplished something. Today is a beautiful sunny day in Brooklyn, New York for casual walking!
Across the street from Bed-Stuy Restoration Plaza and next to a brand new TD Bank (yet to be opened) were some Sisters and Brothers selling fruits, veggies and holistic goods. I was able to score some Vegan Ginger Juice and vegan gingerbread from a wonderful Sister who was lots of fun to speak with. She let me try free samples of her products. All was good except the Moringa seeds from Ghana. For me that would be an acquired taste but at least I tried it. Took me over two hours to finish my trek but hey I’m never gonna win any contests for speed walking! Anyway I like to look into all the different stores and chat with various vendors.
