In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Take That, Rosetta!.”
Take That, Rosetta!
If you could wake up tomorrow and be fluent in any language you don’t currently speak, which would it be? Why? What’s the first thing you do with your new linguistic skills?
Spanish.
Large Hispanic population in New York. In fact Spanish is the most widely spoken language in New York at least I believe so. Also Spanish is like a second language here. Many jobs require that applicants speak, read and write Spanish.
Shock my Spanish speaking friends by fluently conversing with them. They would be so pleased because they always encourage me to practice and watch the Novelas.

I have a friend who learned her Spanish via Novelas.I learned mine by putting Spanish tapes in my car and listening to them every minute I was in the car–driving back and forth to Mexico six times and whenever I drove in Mexico for years. It worked better than any other method would have for me. https://grieflessons.wordpress.com/2015/04/16/speaking-in-signs/
I’d like to speak Welsh as it’s the language of my homeland but as i’s not the language of trade, I’d ave to go for either Chin es or Spanish as you have. I’d prefer Spanish.

Me too, DeBorah! Just the other day someone switched to Spanish in front of me because they didn’t want me to understand!!! I didn’t like it…but I did understand a few words…mainly because I knew what the subject was about! Hope spring is finally springing up there…Have a super weekend! ❤
Yes. Spring has sprung in New York. It is finally in the 60s and 70s. Hallelujah!
