Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 New King James Version (NKJV)

Everything Has Its Time

To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:

A time to be born,
    And a time to die;
A time to plant,
    And a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill,
    And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
    And a time to build up;
A time to weep,
    And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
    And a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones,
    And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
    And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain,
    And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
    And a time to throw away;
A time to tear,
    And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
    And a time to speak;
A time to love,
    And a time to hate;
A time of war,
    And a time of peace.

  1. Pingback: WPC: Seasons (Squeezed) | Chris Breebaart Photography / What's (in) the picture?

  2. I love the snow shots and whole post – and did u know that the first thing that came to my mind (when I head the wpc) was this Ecclesiastes passage – so I liked that so much too!

    1. Thank you so very much!! I appreciate your comments. Taking the snow shots was fun. Walking and going to work in the various New York snowstorms not much fun. The passage from Ecclesiastes seemed to fit the theme and hit the mark! 🙂

      1. Yes – and I just added it to my post and the Turn, turn, turn song – so you did inspire my post a bit – and I think I will go back in and add that! 🙂
        also, I do not come by your blog all the time ( you know how we all rate and visit blogs with a pacing and all that) but when I was here last you were sharing some of the photos of Jonas and how you had to go out in the snow – so it was cool timing to come back here for these pics…. (I have seen some of your other posts in the reader since then) but just fun to see these snow pictures presented in a different way for this post.
        have a nice week and ttyl

      2. Once again many Thanks for your positive comments, support and encouragement. I try to get out to as many blogs as humanly possible. Time constraints and work duties prevent me from visiting as many of my Blogging Buddies as I would like however for the next two weeks I will be on vacation so I will do my best to read and view the works of my fellow bloggers. Hooray for Vacation!! 🙂 😀 I will also be celebrating my 57th Birthday on Feb. 27th!! Woohoo!!

      3. Oh happy happy birthday! And you know – I am in my third year of blogging and last year realized that one of the best ways to visit is not all the time! My blog friend Andy pointed that out to me and it helped me find balance with so much – and so sometimes I only visit someone a few times a year and that is what works – if this is making sense? I guess I am saying don’t ever let visiting blogs weigh you down – I have seen too many leave blogging or get headaches with the whole thing – and so in my opinion it is important to post – for us first and foremost and for the essence our blog will emit – and then we visit when we can (like you are doing) and for me – I have a haphazard plan (but it works) I just randomly check my reader and visit whoever is there when I have time to scroll – and that has been my MO for a while now.
        Anyhow – happy birthday! 🎂🎂🍨and looking forward to connecting a bit while on your vacation – but make sure you stay fresh and never visit out of obligation – but I am sure you know that-!! Xxoo
